The best sushi in St Paul. We've been there four times now. My favorite is definitely the Titanic!

Fantastic staff and amazing sushi coming from someone who doesn't normally eat this type of food.... Changed my mind on not eating sushi anymore..... Plates look like pieces of art.....

The fresh sashimi was deliciouussssss, and my partner seemed to enjoy his special sushi roll. Service was a bit slow and it felt like the waitress really didn't want to be there, but hey. You never know what someone's going through I guess. I would go again, maybe during lunch if they have cheaper menus.

One of, if not the best, Sushi places in town. Have rarely had fish taste this fresh. Or a noodle dish as fragrant. Spacious interior and nice terrace.

My husband and I loved the sushi and sashimi. Had a great time eating here. The sashimi were great size and proportions. Staff was extremely friendly and hospitable.

Food is good. Steve was better. The reason I will be leaving a 5 star review is for the service. Recently my friend and I were waited on by a wonderful guy named Steve. Steve was very attentive and went the extra mile to ask the chef questions for us. He really knows how to deal with patrons in a way they want. He is able to subtly read every customer's needs. If you want to have chit chat and joke around with him, you can. If you want him to just shut up and give you service he does that too! (Without having to ask him). Thanks again Yumi. Will be returning and recommending.

This was our first visit to Yumi and it won't be our last! They had a great drink menu and the food menu was extensive. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the tempura was crisp and light! Can't wait to try more of their menu items!

Best Sushi ever. Excelsior location is always perfection. The St. Paul location is not quite there yet as the size of the Nigiri are always a hit or miss, sometimes the pieces are really small and some time it is large and on par with the Excelsior location. St. Paul location needs more consistency with the size and cuts of fish with the Ngiri.

The Blanc was warm, but the appetizer were declious. I didn't order so I can say what they were. I would definitely go back! Oh, fire alarm went off and everyone had to leave. I think it was another place in the building. LOL

Attentive staff, generous portions.. too much tsuma & gari on the side though.

My wife and I have been loyal patrons of Yumis in Excelsior and would rate our experiences there as 5+. We tried the newer St. Paul location for take out tonight and it was definitely not up to Excelsior quality. The sashimi was skimpy in quantity although the quality was good. We are use to 3/8” thick pieces ( 3 of them per order) from Excelsior but instead received 2 paper thin pieces per order. Very disappointing. The rolls were fine but overall, not at all like Excelsior Yumis. Not sure I would go back to the St. Paul location although it is much closer to our home.

This was our first experience at Yumi Sushi Bar on Selby Avenue in St. Paul - we have heard so much about it - and the delicious sushi and service exceeded our expectations! We wanted to get take out -- ordered online and our order was ready for pick up, all seamless. The specialty sushi rolls were packed with delicious fresh tuna and prepared perfectly -- accompanied by shrimp tempura and the Yumi salad -- we WILL be back. Thank you YUMI!!

Menu was very limited and didn't contain many cooked sushi items...

last night was the first time we came to that restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We had a good time with the good service, with the finest food and booze and with the honest pay. We will definitely visit there soon.

Happy hour is great! The shrimp tempura was so delicious and decadent! Our bartender (Jake) was super knowledgable and welcoming. Everything we had here was great! We will be repeat customers!

Excellent sushi but not quite sure the price to greatness ratio equate. Everything from the Sushi, to Kirian, to Sake was priced higher than you typically see in the in Minneapolis. Not quite sure the food justifies it being superior to some of the other great sushi places here. Still worth checking out and is on that top tier of sushi places.

We are SO excited to have Yumi in Saint Paul! For those that don’t know, their other location has been fantastic and popular for years in Excelsior. The quality came to Saint Paul for sure, and the inside of the restaurant is beautiful as to be expected. The renovation looks great. A big menu with lots of options for anyone, and higher quality fish than you can find from pretty much anywhere in the Twin Cities. It’s hard to find Toro these days! Can’t wait to make this a regular stop on Selby. They could use some consistency on how they cut and prepare rolls and the rock shrimp tempura lacks consistency on how fried it is each time but it always tastes great.

Horrible poorly cut sushi. Sashimi shouldnt be the size of a pork chop or have bones in it. Uni was warm and runny. Worst sushi ive had in the twin cities...especially for the ridiculous prices.

Rough start. Their time says open til 10 on google. So we drove through the winter storm to get here at 8:40 and we were told they were closed even though the door says 9. No apologies or anything, just asked to leave.

The server was knowledgeable and so friendly! Absolutely amazing sushi and a lovely environment. Our server recommended a delicious sake to go with the 3 rolls we got and it paired well. We were able to keep the empty bottle too. We split the Rainbow roll, the Titanic roll, and Honeymoon roll. Titanic had the most kick, and the Honeymoon roll was a mild compliment to it. The fish on the rainbow roll was delicious as well.

Wow! This place had incredible sushi! Everything was fresh and unbelievable! I have eaten sushi all over the world and this place legitimately stacks up! Service was A+! I definitely will be back! So glad this place just opened 2 days ago! We were lucky to get a spot at the chefs table section right by the sushi chefs! Our server Story was delightful.

Fabulous. So happy to have Yumi in STP!
